Townshend Against Speed

Parish Council Meeting

Following the recent Parish Council Meeting, which was sadly poorly attended by Townshend residents, (only 2 of us), Councillor Jenkin fought a tough battle and eventually managed to persuade fellow councillors to agree that Townshend should be the favoured village in the Crowan Parish to go forward to the next round to try and secure the funding for traffic calming.

By the time you read this, the paperwork will have been submitted to battle it out with other villages all trying to access the £50,000.  It is imperative that any and all cases of anti-social driving and speeding are reported, definitely to Councillor Jenkin and if serious enough, to the police.

There seems little point in having another meeting at this stage as the fight will now be taking place behind Cornwall CounciI’s closed doors.

Keep up the reporting and the guerrilla 30mph signs.
