A Message of Thanks

I would like to thank Marlene, Diana, Roy, Inger and all the helpers, including some children, for making the Hall look so amazing this Christmas. Their hard work is appreciated by all of us who use the Hall. My thanks also go to all who cooked and helped with the super Christmas Lunch. It is very hard work to produce such a spread. The food was delicious along with a wonderful Christmas atmosphere in the Hall.

We must also thank Rosemary for the sometimes unnoticed work on the great Newsletters she produces. They are so decorative and full of all the information that we need. Also to Eric who provides her with copious cups of tea! We must thank the Committee for all their work during the year as without them there would be no Hall to go to.

Happy New Year to you allPat Williams

The Christmas Craft Session

A great time was had by the children and parents of Townshend when they met for a craft session to make Christmas Decorations for the Hall. It was great fun and nice to have children from the village getting to know one another and working together. We have had lots of compliments on how nice the Hall looks now these have been put up and are very pleased that our community joined us in this adventure. Hopefully this will be just the beginning! Thanks to everyone for taking part on the day and to Marlene, Inger, Sophia, Diana, Roy and Pat Gridley for their efforts.

The Christmas Party

Held just before Christmas in the Village Hall, it proved to be extremely good fun. It was also an opportunity to make more friends in the village. We sang Carols, drank mulled wine, ate pizzas and mince pies, played silly games and much more.

We will be showing the Bollywood Film ‘Bride and Prejudice’ and to get you in the mood we will be serving a curry meal before the film from 6.30pm.
