Townshend Newsletter July 2018
Film Night Saturday 21st July
‘Three Billboards outside Ebbing Missouri’
Starring Frances McDormand as Mildred Hayes, a hard- nosed mother who is seeking justice for her murdered daughter. With no arrests after seven months, Mil- dred puts up three road- side signs to goad Ebbing police chief into action, but the law – and especially Sam Rockwell’s hot-headed deputy – don’t take kindly to the provocation, and the townsfolk are on their side. Mildred, however, doesn’t care about ruffling a few feathers. In fact, she’s happy to pluck the whole bird!
For all members of C-Fylm – if you are not a member you can join on the night. Doors open at 7pm—Film starts at 7.30pm – £3 includes tea or coffee.
Townshend Against Speed
Are you growing concerned at the ever increasing speed of vehicles through the village?
We would like to set up a working group to address the speed issues of the traffic and target the relevant authorities, local councillor, Cornwall Council, Highways, Police, to name but a few.
This will not be a quick fix but by working together as a village we may be able to get something done.
If you can spare a few minutes each month, perhaps we can arrange a get together to discuss the way forward.
Drop us an email at email@example.com or call 07977 948158 or pop into Chy-An-Mulva.
